Mango Cointreau Sangria Recipe
I love Cointreau. This is an orange liqueur from France. If you don't have any Cointreau around, you can substitute in Grand Marnier or Triple-Sec.
Ingredients
1 bottle of Rioja or other red wine
1 small mango
1 orange, 1 lemon, 1 small lime
1 pitcher lemonade
1 shot Bacardi
1 shot orange Cointreau
Slice up the lime, lemon, mango, and orange into small pieces and put them into a large pitcher. Mix in the wine and lemonade. Drop in a shot of Bacardi and a shot of Cointreau.
Taste this. If you want, toss in some sugar. When it tastes right, let it sit in the fridge overnight and serve the next day with ice cubes.
Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
