Ewave 30 Bottle Wine Fridge

The Ewave 30 bottle wine cooler is perfect for sitting in your kitchen and keeping wine bottles at hand and in good condition. It's quiet, elegant looking, and holds many bottles.

We've had our Ewave for about a year now. We had a wine fridge in the kitchen, but it was clunky looking. We put that old fridge in the basement and use the Ewave in the kitchen. It's perfect for keeping those drink-soon wines from turning into vinegar before you get to them.

The unit goes for around $200 at most shops, so a reasonable price range in this size. It has a smoked front glass window to keep out bright sunshine, plus an internal light for helping out in dark corners. There are four shelves with five racks each. One rack can hold oversized bottles or a double row of regular bottles.

There's also a lower area for larger bottles - it has a half length shelf to hold 3 bottles above and 3 bottles below. The other half of the lower area can hold small short bottles, such as that anniversary bottle of Grand Marnier you want to savor. That ends up with a total of 32 bottles for us.

The temperature seems to hold pretty steady. The purpose of a wine fridge is NOT to keep wine at 'drinking' temperature. You bring a wine to drinking temperature just before you drink it. The purpose of wine fridge is to hold wines at STORAGE temperature, which is around 55F. This lets a wine age properly and stay healthy for the longest time, so that when you do get around to drinking it, it is delicious.
