Wine Charm Making Instructions

Wine Charms help keep track of whose glass is whose, and they are very easy to make!

Really, all I grabbed were some scissors, a bit of light wire, and a bag of beads I had lying around from some project. I also grabbed random necklace charms that I hadn't worn in ages, the I kept around because I hate to throw things out.

I started with a purple glass heart that I used to wear when I was 12 and 13. It's been a long time since I've had that around my neck, but I slipped the wire through it and then a few colored beads. I made a loop at one end and a hook at the other.

That was it! Around 5 minutes to rummage upstairs for the parts, and under a minute to put this together. Then it was simply a matter of slipping it on my glass of Cab Franc I was drinking!

You can of course use fancy clasps if you wish - either spin close clasps or magnetic clasps. You can use plastic beads, crystal beads or even gemstones.

I'm inspired now :) :) It's time to make a bunch of these for when people come and visit - and to bring as gifts when I'm over friends' houses! It becomes so personalized because you can choose a special item that has meaning to you, or find something perfectly matched for who you are giving it to.
