Dandelion Winemaking Instructions - 2002
The 2002 batch was begun on April 27th, 2002.
Day 3: April 29th
During Day 3, stir it twice to keep things fresh in there. At the end of the day, it's time to add in some more ingredients.
Pour your dandelion-water mixture back into a pot and heat it to a boil on the stove. Now you want to add in the orange peels, lemon peels, honey, brown sugar and white sugar.
|
Bring the mixture to a boil again and simmer it for an hour. It'll smell quite nice! When it's done simmering, let it cool back down. Add in the insides of the oranges and lemons, and stir it up. When it's fully cooled, put it back into your glass or ceramic pot.
|
Now smear a piece of toast with a packet of yeast. The toast helps it float on top, will soak in with the liquid slowly and let the yeast start to grow. You can use just regular breast yeast, nothing special required here! Put the toast on the liquid, and then seal the top with saran wrap again. It's now going to sit like this for 3 days.
