Correct! France has a region named "Champagne", and it is from this region that all Champagnes are made. Wrong! Sparkling wines are made in Spain, but they have a different name. That will be another question ;) Wrong! Sparkling wines in the US are just called "sparkling wines", or wines made in the methode champenoise. They are not "Champagne". Wrong! Italy has its own style of sparkling wine, which is sweeter and lighter than a traditional Champagne.
