Tobacco was smoked by native Americans, and is now a source of controversy in much of the world. The addictive qualities of cigarettes and the dangers to lungs and health are well known. Still, it's often a nice flavor in a wine!

The Wines with Tobacco Flavor

Rich red wines often have a tobacco flavor. This includes Amarone, from northern Italy. To be more specific, the Red Bordeaux is said to have a "cigar box" aroma to it.
